香海正覺蓮社佛教正覺中學的游美斯校長熱愛具挑戰性的運動,更在校內增設歷奇設施讓師生參與,鼓勵他們建立團隊精神,勇於接受新事物。她表示,「歷奇就是要跳出自己的舒適圈,例如做trust fall時,要很相信下面的人會接住你。」而賽馬會「校本多元」計劃正是協助學校團隊跳出舒適圈的推手,尤其是「校本多元學生數據管理平台」帶來的改變,不只是學生的表現和發展上,也是整個學校團隊的心態上。按此觀看完整訪問影片及文章。
Ms. Annette Yau, the principal of HHCKLA Buddhist Ching Kok Secondary School, loves playing challenging sports so much that she has introduced additional adventure sports facilities at her school. She encourages teachers and students to take up on the activities, strengthen team building, and stay open to the new. According to her, “Adventure sports ask one to leave their comfort zone, as in the case of performing a trust fall, during which one must trust their group members to catch them.” To extend the analogy, JCDM plays the same supporting role in helping the school leave its comfort zone. In particular, the “Diversity Management Platform” has brought about changes in not only student performance and development, but also the collective attitude of the school team. Kit Sam Lam Bing Yim Secondary School

潔心林炳炎中學的校長劉瑤紅博士閒時喜歡遠足,在大自然中她看到許多恩典和奇蹟。「只要悉心栽培,無論土地是肥沃或貧瘠,都可令小小的植物茁壯成長。就如學生,無論是什麼能力或背景,每個人都可在不同範疇有所成就。」賽馬會「校本多元」計劃,正能幫助她和教學團隊掌握更多教學策略,促進專業發展和團隊協作文化。對於參與第二期計劃,她期望將這成功經驗推廣至其他學科,令支援變得更全面。按此觀看完整訪問影片及文章。
Dr. Lau Yiu-hung, the principal of Kit Sam Lam Bing Yim Secondary School, is a hiking hobbyist. Nature, as she sees it, is full of grace and filled with miracles. “A small plant can grow and thrive regardless of the soil, as long as it is nurtured with dedication. The same is with students – they can always find achievements in their own ways regardless of their ability and background.” With the help of JCDM, Dr. Lau and her school team have been introduced to a greater variety of teaching strategies, which serve to facilitate professional development and the culture of collaboration.
